Mindset psychology book club
🌻 New Book Club 🌻
I’m thrilled to be launching a new online book club that will be delving into the world of mindset psychology.
The purpose of the book club is threefold:
to create a community space where people with an interest in mindset can connect, and they can inquire into the past, present, and future of mindset psychology together as a collective.
to offer you early access to the findings of my dissertation on mindset psychology, as well as to support the peer-review of my dissertation.
to offer you an opportunity to share your personal learnings and lived experiences around mindset, so that we can learn with and alongside one another.
In terms of the overall feel of the book club, it will be facilitated like a cosy campfire conversation, where everyone will have the opportunity to share their learnings and experiences. The in-person sessions will also be grounded in the principles of deep listening, mutual care, and shared inquiry.
Here is an overview of the first five sessions. We will gather online every two weeks. I will share a piece of writing from my dissertation (between 5,000-15,000 words) as prereading before we gather:
Session 1: A big picture view of the field of mindset.
Session 2: Foundational principles of mindset psychology.
Session 3: Mindset and the influence of states, conditions, and stages.
Session 4: Mindset literacy and Mindset-Aware Practice.
Session 5: Mindset shifts and a mindset-aware society.
Book club spaces are limited to 10 people. Online calls will be 90 mins at a time TBC depending on the availability of attendees (calls will likely be in the evening Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)). Depending on the number of people that express interest, I may organise a second group at an EU/US friendly time.
